Ashington Football Club has a strong heritage; our values, traditions and family identity is important to us which we carry through the running of the Football Club across all age groups.
A message from our Chairman:
“Firstly, I’d like to thank you for taking the time to navigate through our website. The consistent message we are looking to create is hopefully echoed on our Website; to positively impact the lives of all involved in our Football Club.
Enjoyment is central to football, particularly for children and this is the tone we set from a very early age, starting with our Under 6. Whilst some of our players set out on the pathway to becoming a professional, the vast majority play the game for fun. As a Club, maintaining a positive environment that allows children to play freely underpins the work we do throughout the Club.
Ashington FC is also a strong supporter and advocate of the ‘Pledge of Positivity’. We encourage those on the touchline to support all players involved and respect referees, coaches and other spectators.
The Pledge is based on our RESPECT behavioural code of conduct which seeks to improve standards of behaviour in football.
Grassroots Football needs to be fun whilst we support the Children playing the game they love with the Support of our Volunteers; Managers, Coaches and of course the Club as a whole.
